App Privacy Policy

1. General Information

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This privacy policy explains which data is collected when using our app and how it is processed. Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

3. Data Collection in the App

a) App Usage

When starting and using the app, we automatically collect the following technical data:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Timestamps of usage
• Anonymous usage data for app functionality (e.g., error logs)

This data is technically necessary to ensure the stability and security of the app.

b) Registration and Login

To use the app, a user account is required. We process the following data:

• Email address
• Password (stored in encrypted form)
• Optional: Name

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract)

c) Cloud Synchronization

The app synchronizes data such as tracked time, projects, and activities with our cloud infrastructure to provide cross-device functionality.

4. Error Monitoring with Sentry

To improve app stability, we use the service Sentry (Functional Software Inc., 45 Fremont Street, San Francisco, USA). In the event of an error, technical data (e.g., device type, OS, time, type of error) may be transmitted to Sentry.

The data transfer to the USA is based on standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR.

5. App Permissions

The app only requires access to:

• Internet connection – for synchronization with the cloud

The app does not access location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

6. Hosting and Data Processing

Our cloud systems are hosted by:

We have a data processing agreement in place with Hetzner in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. All data is processed exclusively in data centers within the EU.

7. Data Retention

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for its intended purpose or as required by law. Afterwards, it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights at any time:

• Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
