In this case study, we spoke with webdesigner Conny about his experience with timeBuzzer – and what tips he has for you.
What do you do, and why do you track your time?
As the founder of the web design agency “Sichtbarkeitswerkstatt”, I combine design, structure, and strategy in my work. I create websites for entrepreneurs that make their values visible and communicate them clearly in the digital space. I often juggle multiple projects at once, from concept and design to technical implementation.
For me, tracking time isn’t about control. It’s about clarity. I want to know exactly how much effort goes into each task so I can plan efficiently, quote realistically, and invoice my clients transparently.
What has improved since using timeBuzzer?
Since I started using timeBuzzer, my workday has become much more structured. I used to estimate my hours after the fact. Now I track them precisely and in real time. This has made my workflow much more traceable and gives me a clearer sense of project progress.
I can instantly see where my time is going, which helps me optimize processes and use my resources more effectively. What I really appreciate is that I can now create accurate and transparent invoices — for both myself and my clients.
What tips would you give to others starting with timeBuzzer?
- Time tracking isn’t about control. It’s an investment in professionalism: If you juggle multiple projects or offer time-based services, it’s essential to take time tracking seriously.
- Start honestly, without overthinking: Track your time for a few weeks without trying to analyze it too much. You’ll start to see patterns that help you improve how you work.
- Use a tool that feels good to use: That’s the biggest benefit of timeBuzzer for me. It turns time tracking into a conscious, tangible part of my workflow instead of a dreaded chore.
